Carlos pursued his dream after graduating from the University of Idaho. In 1983, he started a brand new sports department at KCPQ TV in Tacoma, Washington as a sports director and main sports anchor. In that same year, he moved to a Seattle TV station (KING5-TV) as a main sports anchor while also hosting a Seattle Seahawks weekly round up on KJR-AM. Twelve years after leaving his mark in Seattle, he moved down the coast to LA at KNBC-TV. He started in L.A. working weekends as an anchor/reporter. He reported on major Los Angeles sports teams, hosted a half-hour “Sunday Night Sports” show and two Olympic specials reporting and anchoring coverage from the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. His great work covering the Olympics earned him 2 Emmys. Carlos is now a great addition to the XTRA Sports 570 team
