Southern California's Sports Super Station

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Los Angeles, CA - (January 3, 2003) - On January 6, 2003, XTRA Sports 690 & 1150 has launched as the largest sports radio tandem in the country, backed by 130,000 watts of power and reaching from the Mexican border to Central California. The sports super station will be anchored by Jim Rome and Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton. Rome is the premiere sports show host in the country and Hacksaw is a local legend that has dominated afternoon drive in Southern California for more than a decade.

XTRA Sports 690 & 1150 will continue its association with Fox Sports Radio. The line-up includes The Tony Bruno Show (5a-9a), The Jim Rome Show (9a-12n), The Loose Cannons (12n-3p), Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton (3p-7p) and J.T. "The Brick" (7p-10p). The super station will feature live sports updates every 20 minutes and will serve as the flagship station for the UCLA Bruins, the Los Angeles Clippers and the LA Avengers.

The stations will continue to share successful relationships with a number of affiliates and entities that have helped build XTRA Sports 690 and FOX Sports AM1150 into Southern California's #1 Sports Super Station.

Station Manager, Greg Ashlock, thinks this is long overdue. He adds, "690 and 1150 have been the dominate sports stations in Los Angeles for the past 5 years. By combining the two stations, we can improve the programming for our listeners and improve the results for our advertisers. Is it too cliché to say this is a Win-Win?"

Program Director Bill Pugh adds, "As a company we have always looked to maximize any situation to bring together the best product possible. Now, at one address, you can find the best of Xtra Sports 690, FOX Sports AM1150 and the FOX Sports Radio Network. This will be THE Sports Super Station for Southern California.
