Colts re-sign Macklin, Williams

Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - The Indianapolis Colts re-signed cornerback David Macklin and defensive tackle Josh Williams on Tuesday.

In addition to the two starters, Indy also re-signed running back Ricky Williams, who was a reserve for the team last season.

The 24-year-old Macklin was a third-round choice by the Colts in the 2000 NFL Draft. He has played in all 48 games since joining the team -- starting 33 -- and has accumulated 145 tackles and six interceptions.

Williams, a fourth-round choice in the same year, missed half of last season with a foot injury. The 26-year-old tackle, who recovered to start the final two regular season games for the Colts, has 105 tackles and seven sacks in his career.

Williams is entering his second NFL season. He was obtained in a trade with New Orleans just before the beginning of the season, finishing the year with 35 yards rushing on 11 carries. He also caught one pass for 20 yards and a touchdown.
