Dolphins re-sign Wooden
Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Dolphins re-signed safety Shawn Wooden
to a one-year contract on Thursday. Financial terms of the deal were not
released.
Wooden, 29, had been released by the Dolphins on March 11. He played in all 16
games last year and started one, making 21 tackles and intercepting one pass,
while also finishing fourth on the team with 16 special teams tackles.
The eight-year veteran also appeared with Chicago for one season and has
played in 89 career games, with 34 starts. The Notre Dame product has recorded
330 tackles, five interceptions, six fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles
and 14 passes defensed. Wooden has also registered 74 special teams tackles.
