NFL denies Baltimore WR Hunter's appeal

New York, NY (Sports Network) - The National Football League denied the appeal of Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Javin Hunter on Friday. Hunter was suspended for the final four games of the regular season for the use of ephedrine, a violation of the NFL's policy on anabolic steroids and related substances.

The 22-year-old Hunter, a rookie, has caught five passes for 35 yards this season. He is eligible to return to the Ravens' roster December 30th and could participate in the playoffs if Baltimore makes it to the postseason.

The Ravens are 6-6 this season and host the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
