Bengals name Frazier defensive coordinator
Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Cincinnati Bengals new head coach Marvin
Lewis hired Leslie Frazier as defensive coordinator Tuesday and retained the
services of offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski.
Frazier was the defensive backs coach for the Philadelphia Eagles from
1999-2002. He coached in college at Illinois from 1997-98 and was head coach
at Trinity (IL) College from 1988-96.
Frazier played cornerback for the Chicago Bears from 1981-86.
Lewis also filled several other coaching vacancies, as he named the following
assistants to his staff: Paul Alexander (assistant head coach/offensive line);
Ken Zampese (quarterbacks); Jim Anderson (running backs); Alex Wood (wide
receivers); Bob Surace (offensive assistant); Jay Hayes (defensive line);
Ricky Hunley (linebackers); Kevin Coyle (defensive backs); Louie Cioffi
(assistant defensive backs); Darrin Simmons (special teams); Chip Morton
(strength and conditioning); and Kurtis Shultz (assistant strength and
conditioning).
