Indians activate Myette from disabled list

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Cleveland Indians right-handed pitcher Aaron Myette was activated from the 15-day disabled list on Saturday.

Myette, who injured his right quad in spring training, was 0-1 with a 3.27 ERA in seven relief appearances this spring.

The 25-year-old was acquired from Texas in the offseason along with first baseman Travis Hafner in a deal that sent pitcher Ryan Drese and catcher Einar Diaz to the Rangers.

Last season, Myette was 2-5 with a 10.06 ERA in 15 games with the Rangers.

In a related move, the team optioned pitcher Chad Paronto to AAA Buffalo.
