Oakland Athletics Team Report - April 20th

(Sports Network) - Ted Lilly heads to the mound today for the Athletics, as Oakland tries to continue its domination of the Rangers this season. Oakland routed the Rangers yesterday, 12-2, and is 4-1 this year against Texas.

The A's have beaten Texas in 11 of the last 12 meetings.

Miguel Tejada and Scott Hatteberg each belted two-run homers and Mark Mulder pitched seven solid innings. Eric Chavez added three hits and two runs scored for Oakland, while Erubiel Durazo and Terrence Long each chipped in a pair of RBI.

Tejada is just 13-for-72 this season with a 182. batting average.

In his last outing on Tuesday, Lilly went 5 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out 10 Mariners. The lefthander did not figure in the decision.

Against the Rangers on April 10th, Lilly allowed four runs on eight hits in 6 1/3 innings, while not recording a decision. In his career against Texas, Lilly is 1-1 with an ERA of 4.74 in four starts. He has struck out 20 batters in 24 2/3 innings.

The Athletics are 7-1 this season when playing at the Coliseum.
