Oakland's Dye leaves game with injury

Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Oakland Athletics outfielder Jermaine Dye left Thursday's game versus the Detroit Tigers with discomfort in his right knee.

Dye was fielding a double by the Tigers' Dean Palmer in the fifth inning when he slipped and fell. After trainer Larry Davis was called onto the field, Dye walked off under his own power.

Dye has had lower body trouble in the past. During the 2001 playoffs, he broke his left fibia versus the New York Yankees.
