National League Game Summary - Milwaukee at Florida

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Mark Redman tossed a four-hitter to notch his
first complete game of the season and lift Florida to a 4-2 win over Milwaukee
in the finale of a three-game series at Pro Player Stadium.
Redman (2-2) struck out a career-high 11 to post the fourth complete game of
his career, as the Marlins swept the series with the Brewers and have won six
of their last eight overall. He also walked one and snapped a personal two-
game losing streak.
Redman last went the distance July 17, 2002 for Detroit against the New York
Yankees.
Luis Castillo and Mike Lowell each finished with two hits for Florida, which
last swept the Brewers from July 23-25, 1999. Alex Gonzalez drove in two runs
and Juan Encarnacion homered.
Richie Sexson had three hits for Milwaukee, which has lost four of its last
six.
The Marlins built a 4-0 lead against Brewers starter Todd Ritchie through
three innings.
Lowell and Derrek Lee opened the second with a double and a single, then
scored on a triple by Gonzalez. Juan Pierre's two-out double scored Gonzalez
to put Florida ahead 3-0.
Encarnacion added a solo homer in the third for a 4-0 edge. He has reached
base safely in 20 of his last 21 games.
Ritchie (1-2) absorbed the loss, allowing nine hits and four runs in five
innings. Matt Kinney followed with three shutout innings in relief.
Milwaukee scored twice in the fourth. Eric Young led off the inning with a
walk and raced home on a double by Sexson, who then scored on a sacrifice fly
by Brady Clark.
Game Notes
Ritchie fell to 2-2 in five career starts against the Marlins. He last faced
them June 17, 2000 when he was with Pittsburgh...Florida has won five straight
over the Brewers, all at Pro Player Stadium, and 11 of the last 15 meetings
overall...Pierre extended his hitting streak to nine games and has hit in 21
of 23 games.
