Tampa Bay Devil Rays Team Report - April 26

(Sports Network) - Seth McClung pitched six-plus innings of one-run ball in his first major league start to lead the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to a 2-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles in the opener of a three-game set at Tropicana Field.

McClung (2-0) gave up only three hits and just one run to pick up his second major league victory.

Travis Harper and Lance Carter combined for three hitless innings of relief for the Devil Rays, who have won three out of four. Carter earned his fourth save of the season in the process.

Rocco Baldelli went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the win. Chris Truby and Carl Crawford also had two hits for Tampa Bay, which outhit the Orioles by a 9-3 margin.

Tampa Bay sends Steve Parris to the mound today. Parrs is 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA in four starts this season.

Most recently, Parris gave up four runs and nine hits over six innings in a loss to the Orioles on Monday. He walked three and struck out two.

In five career starts against the Orioles, Parris is an even 1-1 with a 4.45 ERA.

Baldelli has hit in eight straight games and 21-of-22.
