Devil Rays activate Lee from the DL

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Devil Rays activated first baseman Travis Lee off of the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday.

Lee, who was on the 15-day disabled list with a right oblique strain, went 1- for-4 in a 5-3 loss at Minnesota. He last played on April 13 when he left the game against the New York Yankees because of the problem.

In his first season with Tampa Bay, Lee was hitting .347 with one homer and five runs batted in before being placed on the DL. He spent the previous 2 1/2 years with Philadelphia after playing his first 2 1/2 big league seasons with Arizona.

Lee takes the spot of pitcher Bobby Seay, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list with left shoulder tendinitis on Sunday.
