Cleveland Indians Team Report - April 30

(Sports Network) - The losing ways continued for the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday as they fell 10-1 to the Anaheim Angels in the opener of a three-game set at Jacobs Field.

Ricardo Rodriguez (2-2) had his worst outing of the season and gave up six runs -- four earned -- in five innings of work.

Ellis Burks homered for the Indians, who have lost seven straight and are only 7-19 this season.

The Indians are off to their worst start since 1969. This is Cleveland's first seven-game losing streak since June 27-July 3, 1991.

Cleveland is a dismal 3-8 at Jacobs Field this season.

The Indians send Brian Anderson to the mound on Wednesday. Anderson returns after missing his last start with a strained muscle near his buttock.

The lefthander has dropped his last two starts after claiming his first two. Despite his .500 record, Anderson owns a 3.51 ERA on the year.

In his last outing, Anderson was tagged with the loss against the White Sox on April 19. He permitted nine runs in five innings, but just two of them were earned. Anderson gave up 11 hits, walked one batter and struck out one.

Anderson has made three all-time starts against the Angels, going 1-1 with a 4.00 ERA.
